Our weekends are always busy!!

Well we went up to see Grandma this past weekend. We love going to visit. Grandma is awesome and the country is great. We love it up at her house.

Highlights of the weekend - we took Joey to the playground this weekend but it was all wet so we didn't really enjoy it that much. It was cold on Saturday.

Sunday we drove into Saginaw (45 minute drive) with Joe's mother. We went to Jo-ann's, Michaels and then we were going to get our hair cut but the place was closed. Joe and I were bummed. My hair is getting too long for me!

So we drove back and Joey was getting cranky. We kept asking him if he wanted pizza, his favorite, and he yelled, NO!!! So as we pulled into pizza hut, he just fell asleep! Augh! Everyone was craving pizza but decided to go home without, because we knew Joey would be cranky if we woke him up.

We got home and all took naps. When Joey got up he ate and then we went outside for awhile to play. We took a nice walk with Grandma down the driveway and picked up some garbage and cans on the side of the driveway. We then came back. Joe and I played kickball and Joey played in the driveway dirt just using his pail, shovel and his truck. This kept him occupied for a LONG time. Grandma and I helped clean some garbage out of the garage. It looks much better now.

These photos above were from the playground, 4/5. We take Joey to the playground a few times a week and he loves it and hates leaving.

The other photo to the right is outside this weekend when we were outside playing. More to come later this week! I have a very hard time getting him to look at the camera, so that is why I have a lot of candid photos!

19 weeks!

Well I'm 19 weeks and 4 days. I forgot to say that last week I started to feel the baby kick. This week, not so much, though I feel like I am really really showing up high.

This week on the way up to Grandma's house we finally decided on a name - Justin Scott. We have always loved that name since we first met and we still love it. We thought of Connor and Tyler but decided to go with our favorite! We love how Justin and Joey sound together so we are pretty much set.

Here I am in my new shirt I got at the old navy. It's cut pretty tight but I like how it fits.

I'm continuing to work out at Curves, and since Joey is outside almost all the time, I'm outside running around with him, doing housework, walking around the block while pushing him in a stroller. I'm certainly getting my exercise!

I've been craving egg sandwiches. Joe makes turkey bacon, then fries up some eggs and puts it on toast. Not sure why I like it so much but I've asked for eggs every morning so far and sometimes I like them in the evening too. It fills me up and it's tasty! I like how Joe makes it for me too!

This weekend we went to a mom 2 mom sale and bought a bunch of clothes for Justin and some for Joey and got it all for $17. Most of them were Carter's clothing. I'm in love with Carter's clothes. In fact, I went shopping at Carter's on Thursday and bought the baby new clothing! Justin - you will be one styling baby!!

Week 19:

This week of pregnancy, your baby is approximately 5½- 6 inches in length (crown-to-rump) and weighs 7-8 ounces. A white, cheesy-textured coating called Vernix is now being secreted by your baby’s skin and beginning to form on your baby. This substance protects his or her delicate skin throughout pregnancy and assists with passage through the birth canal. If your baby is a girl, her uterus is clearly visible at this point and she has six million eggs in her ovaries -- six times the number she will have at birth! If your baby is a boy, his testes are apparent and the prostate gland is beginning to develop. Your baby may be able to hear sounds from outside your body and he or she will begin to recognize the voices of you and your partner. Loud noises outside the uterus may cause your baby to become startled and jump a bit.

The size of your uterus (along with your baby) has grown considerably over the last few weeks. The top of your uterus is now just over halfway between your pubic bone and your belly button. Your breasts have increased in weight and are enlarging more and more as your pregnancy progresses, about 6-7 ounces each so far. Many women have an increase of one or two cup sizes, so a good support bra is a valuable investment. Your uterus may practice contracting about now. These are called Braxton Hicks contractions and aren’t the same as labor contractions. They only happen once in a while and tend to go away when you move around. If you have more than 5 in an hour or experience severe backache and cramping, you need to contact your doctor or midwife.
