Great weekend! Our Chuckie Cheese adventure!

I know I've been MIA lately. Not sure why. I guess I haven't been on the pc at ALL lately. I'm so busy when I get home from work that I just do other things. The other thing that keeps me OFF the pc is if I am on it and Joey is around, he thinks he gets to sit on my lap and play games on here off websites like sesameworkshop.org or playhouse disney's website. So he comes up yelling games games games and I usually let him play.

I need to share photos of Joe and Joey's sledding trip like I promised. I will do that below.

This past weekend was nice. We went up north to see Grandma (we try to go every other weekend to spend time with her) and on Sunday we went to Chuckie Cheese's. Joey wasn't sure what to expect at first. I think he was just overwhelmed. We took him early in the morning around 10am. At the end he loved most things - he loved to play in the balls, he liked to climb in the ceiling in the tubes (thank GOD Joe went up there with him - it looked too contained for me), and we did a bunch of other stuff. He did so good. He did throw a ball at someone, twice right in their face! Joe made him apologize and say he was sorry. We ate pizza (which was just ok) and we all played skeeball. In the end we had enough tickets for him to get a shrek soft plush ball and a little race car (like a matchbox car). At the end (around 12:30) he was sooo exhausted that once we got in the car he was totally out in 3 minutes flat.

This weekend I played around with this video editing program and it's pretty cool. I made a home video from Christmas and Joey loved watching it! I asked who was on the screen when I came up and he looked at me and said 'YOU'. That was the first time he used the word 'You' in the correct context. He's saying so much now!!!

Work is going well. Joe and I got our annual raises and we both did great. That was nice. We even got enough to go and visit our buds in Seattle! I'm soooo geeked! Here we come Caroline! :)

Down the hill! Whooo fun!

Joe and Joey and the sled!

Wow - that was fun!

What a hunk! ;)

Isn't Joey adorable?!

I like how the motion is portrayed in this photo.

He didn't like these motorized toys.

This was the crawling thing in the ceiling that he loved.

Joey came down the big slide!

One of Joey's favorites!

At the end! Gotta go! Joey's tired!

Not even 3 minutes into the car ride.

I'm here...but busy

I know I haven't been around lately. I've been busy with life - sleeping, working out, cleaning our hell hole of a house. I hate remodeling. I love how it looks when it's done but I hate living through it!

Briana's Easy to make Meat Goulash
I made goulash last night and this is how I did it. Joe loved it.
Take about 12 oz of elbow macaroni. Boil it until tender.
In the meantime take one lb of beef and brown it, and mix in one chopped onion and one or two cloves of garlic. Once the beef is browned, drain.
Then add noodles and open a can of spaghetti sauce and put it in the pan you browned the beef in. Stir well.
Add in cheddar cheese on top, enough to cover the top of the spaghetti, cover and let melt for about 3-5 minutes. Once done, serve. Joe and I LOVED it. I made this on my own and it's one of our favorites now. Just wanted to share.

So anyhow, last weekend we went up north to see Grandma. She made a valentine's cake with Elmo on it - it was so cute. We got Joey a VTECH video game system. I know he's only two but it's a learning system and he has so many toys that he didn't need anymore. He actually gets some of the games which impresses me. These kids nowadays are so smart!

This week I was glad it was over because we have a three day weekend. Joe is working on fixing up our closets. I'm excited about it since living without closets is awful! He's been fixing the holes in the closet, and getting it ready to paint. We bought the closet maid system so it should look nice when it's done. I have before and after photos so I'll show you when we are finished.

Just yesterday someone posted a couch and chair on freecycle. Ours that we have is not matching and the sofa isn't long enough for Joe to stretch out. We never used the bed part of the sofa. I asked Joe if he wanted to go get it and he said yes. It's a cream colored sofa and chair. They are comfortable. They need to be cleaned but that's ok and it's a super long couch so Joe's happy. We already have people coming to pick up the sofa bed and our recliner chair. The living room actually looks nicer with matching furniture. We can't justify buying new furniture right now because we can't really afford it and I have a cat that has nails and used to use furniture as a scratching post so for now, used furniture is good for me!

I guess that's about it. We are going to my parents house tonight for turkey dinner.

The photos below is why I keep blowing my friends off about not coming over to their house to do whatever. We need to clean our own house up and get all these things off the floors and counters and into our new closets!!

I'll post some snow photos later tonight of Joey's first sledding adventure with daddy.

Where we dumped a lot of my scrapbooks and Joe's albums. See my poor kitchen and dining room?

Our living room, before we got the furniture.

Our upstairs living room. Another place that needs to be organized!!!

What type of personality are you?

I got this from Carolyn's blog!

You Have a Choleric Temperament

You are a person of great enthusiasm - easily excited by many things.
Unsatisfied by the ordinary, you are reaching for an epic, extraordinary life.
You want the best. The best life. The best love. The best reputation.

You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon.
Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall.
You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.

At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults.
Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion.
A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior.

Day 6 Cabo Mexico

I totally love this photo. This is our cruise ship!

We took a trip charter boat fishing. It was super expensive and we didn't get a thing, except a little sea sick. We wouldn't do it again. We would do a city/countryside tour again next time I think. Here is a sea lion. I totally did not expect to see one!

Joe and I at the end of the charter fishing trip.

One of our formal portraits from the night before.

Our formal portrait from this night.

This was the group of great people we sat with for dinner each night. I'm so glad we did mixed seating. We LOVED meeting all these people - Joe, Clara, Trude and Jenna!

Me and my drink. It's all mine :)

Joe couldn't stand wearing a suit any longer. He changed but Jason stayed in his tux.

Everyone (but me) is doing a shot! Trude (left) and Caroline (black dress) did so many, they were so trashed. Trude said she didn't remember much that night! LOL.

Me, just hanging out!

There was a champagne party this night and here is after the streamers fell.

Joe and I. Aren't we cute?

Here go the streamers! It was a cool party. We danced and danced!!

Here's the gang, Caroline, Trude, me and Jenna!

A lot late but done...Mexico - Day 5 Mazatlan

It was amazing watching how he made the bricks.

If you go into this bakery, buy something. It's super inexpensive and they are soooo good.

Here is the tile maker. It's so neat how these are made. We bought one for a trivet for hot plates.

This man is making custom made furniture. It's so nicely detailed.

A magnificent church we stopped to see.

Joe and I in the countryside by a scenic overlook. So pretty!

Our lunch was EXCELLENT!! Yum!

There was another church here - a very old church. This was the gated path around it.

Here's my waiting for the cliff diver to get ready!

Here's the cliff diver's place that he dives off.

Here he goes! Scary!

Wow, he made it!!

The city. It was so pretty here.

One of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen.

Inside the church above. It was gorgeous!

Myself, Frank and my hubby. What a great tour!!!

On the way back to the ship, we all saw this SUNK boat! See it out there?

Back on the ship, enjoying a cold drink!

Caroline and I.

And another drink :)

It was our anniversary and they put balloons on our door!
