Got sooo much done!

It's been a few days since I've last posted. I've been busy and tired! :)

Saturday we did a few errands in the morning, and then took Joey to my parents house. They watched him while Joe and I went to the Tiger's baseball game. There is construction everywhere you go, so it took a lot of detours and patience to make it through to the game!! They are doing construction on every major artery highway to Detroit because the superbowl is here next year. IMHO it's a big PITA!!! Construction is just awful this summer trying to get ready for it!

When we got downtown we parked in Joe's building parking structure. He took me to his work building because I needed to use the restroom - NOW! So we got to his floor and I used the restroom and felt much better! :) He showed me his desk. Wow - what a view! He's on the 32nd floor and it overlooks the Detroit River! What a view! I'm so jealous.

We then got to the game during third inning. I called my friend from work (Lori) and we hooked up with each other. I haven't met Lori's boyfriend Jeff and we all hit it off so well! The tigers won 11-1! While at the game I had my first drink in a long time. I wish Lori could have gotten a phone photo of it! The margarita is 2 feet tall! It's sooo awesome and I drank it all!

We all went to the bar afterwards but I only got ice water. I didn't need any more calories and everyone else got a beer. We bs'd for awhile and took photos on Lori's phone of all of us having fun. Joe and Jeff really hit it off and Lori and I had a blast just talking!

We then went to Greektown in Detroit to the New/Old Parthenon restaurant. It's greek food and I got the vegetarian trio - it was very good food. Joe had the gyro sandwich, Lori had chicken stirfry and Jeff had bbq chicken. We were all trying each others food to see what it was like. It was cool. Before we knew it the night was over. We said our goodbyes and promised to do this again! We had so much fun. Joe and I kept saying that we totally needed a night out with friends. It was suuuuch a great date night. It was soooo much needed. When we got back to my parents house Joey was extremely happy to see us and squealed with happiness!

Sunday we had a late start getting our the door. Joey was cranky most of the morning and we aren't sure why - we are guessing it's teeth. We took a stroll around 12:30 and ran into a neighbor and talking for a bit. Then we got home and laid Joey down for his nap - which was wayyy overdue. He went to bed at 9:30 and woke around 7 am this morning. He normally goes to bed at 8 so we thought he would sleep in.

While he was sleeping Joe got a TON of stuff done around the house - little fix-it things that has been on our list. I got a lot done outside! I am starting a great tan and normally I don't tan at all! I did some yard work, seeded some stuff, raked up leaves, cleaned the porch off, stuff like that!

So after Joey got up we went to the fruit market and to the grocery store. Came home and I made everyone's favorite homemade Sloppy Joe's. We all ate and then Joe took Joey to get his bath.

I went out back to finish cleaning the cat litter boxes out. I then went next door to ask the neighbor if we could have their 2nd recycle bin. Someone took ours (it was not our neighbor, they had 2 recycle bins for years) and they said yes - they never use it. It blew into their yard and they didn't know who's it was. SO that saved us $10 right there!

Now I'm relaxing. We had a great dinner, worked hard today and I'm not ready for work tomorrow. I have a week long of Oracle training. Training is great but week long is wayyyy to much! My shoulders still hurt a week later. Not happy :(

Here's today's question:
Would you rather be a member of a world championship sports team or be the champion of an individual sport? Which sport would you choose?

Of course I would rather be the champion of an individual sport. Gymnastics would be neat, or ice-skating though I don't know how to do either that well. I know how to ice skate, but none of the fancy stuff.
